I wrote this book to set people free from all the diet lies and deception. So, they can see the simple truth, experience weight loss, and know how to manage their weight without changing their life or spending hundreds of dollars a month on diets.
For most of my life since my wrestling career in high school and college where I learned and mastered weight loss, I’ve been frustrated by people dieting, trying to lose weight. I watch and talk to them and remain amazed to this day by what they say and believe about weight loss. People believe the silliest things imaginable such as if I eat a piece of pie, I will gain 10 pounds. People believe this. They think they cannot lose weight because they have big bones. They think their metabolism is “slow” or they have a “granular condition” so they are condemned to a life of being overweight. They have a strange concept of what a calorie is. They have no idea how fat is stored and burned and what role the pancreas plays in the process. No idea. Never heard any of this. They believe there are all kinds of secret ways to lose weight. They think some exotic fruit or root can make them lose weight. Really! They seriously believe in secret diet tricks. They believe in miracles. They accept all the premises of the diets and commercials they read in magazines and see on TV. They think their body can be “reset” like rebooting a computer. They believe in things the liars make up to confuse such as belly bloat and fat barriers. They actually believe these diet charlatans who claim to have an army of scientists planning nutritious meals for their individual needs so that they personally can stay healthy yet lose weight. They believe nutritious meals can come in the mail, in a shake or a pill. And they accept the biggest lie of all; that the kind of food we eat causes us to be overweight. It is not what we eat it is how much.
